Well Im getting a new monitor in the coming weeks, 19inch, not huge but the resolution is quite big. That'll benefit me most I guess, looking forward to working with a huge canvas size.  The resolution is 2048x1536 :).

Also, I feel my art has dipped whilst other artists are always getting better! People keep telling me my work is decent or standard, what can I do to improve? Please...Offer advanced critique.

I dunno, but I've only seen your front page, adn your stuff looks cool but I guess what your problem is that everyone is trying to be like you and your art is blending in with there's so there si heaps of stuff like yours. how about adding something not so abstract to it? I want to learn abstract so I can use it for backgrounds of my stuff adding to the effect.

Oh yeah that resolution kicks arse!!! I have to live with 1280x1024. I could ofcourse plug both my monitors into one pc and double it, but then I'd have a pc with out a monitor. Anyway I prefer two pc's with one monitor each than one pc with 2 monitos.... Blah blah blah. If you want to see what I'm blabering on about -----> [link]

I want to buy a 19 inch too :( then I can have one pc with dual 17" and one with a 19 inch :D

Definitely get a flat LCD (well if you can afford it). I'm never going back to CRT. I have a 15" flat LCD which replaced my 17" CRT. I thought it wouldn't be as good at first, but it is way better and I gladly gave up those 2 inches! Brighter, sharper, very small footprint, and uses a lot less power. I run in 1024x768x32 bit which is okay for me as I've never had anything bigger than 17". Ideally I'd like a 19" flat but they are BIG $$$$ but nice as hell if you get a good brand. I have an NEC Multisync....

Dude i can tell ya what u can improve!!!

Ur brushing n stuff is really good, BUT u should try gettin a meaning in it! Dont just do like standart abstract ones but try ti but a message and stuff in it! Now u also have a tablet so try combining painting and with abstract renders! then and just then ull get back in the elite class :D

i think ur brushing needs to improve and so does mine lol. your renders are good i think its just when you brush, it needs to have a bit more thought but it goes for the same with my work, because my brushing skills arent there yet so i cant brush as well as artist like darulian, skr33ch...BUT we can all get there sometime or surpass! practice!

Well Craig..we been cool for a while now and I've had quite an extensive look through your art and how it's progressed. Couple different aspects I can touch on for you. Firstly , and most broad point, you have to learn to experiment more. Expand your talent and art capabilities by experimentation. The more you work at that technique you don't know, the better you'll be as an artist when you do master it. 2nd is broaden your art genre's.. You're a 3D artist, so try some 3D modeling. I know it can be intimidatiing but all it takes is time and practice. 3D modeling can add alot to your artwork, plus modeling is cool on its own :)

In the end you have to find what makes you happy as an artist.

Sweet! Not sure if the x800 does support it. I'll have to check that out.

Yeah, I need to improve my C4D skills. If you browse my collabs they are worlds better than my solo work.
